Joke: Ah Beng eat peanut

Ah Beng is a bus driver; one day got this old folks home 'pao' his bus for a day trip to Pulau Ketam. Sitting right behind the driver's seat is Grandma Sue and from his rear mirror Ah Beng can see that Grandma Sue is happily munching away. In the middle of the road trip, Grandma Sue tapped Ah Beng on his shoulder and asked him... Grandma: 'Ah Beng ah! You want peanuts boh? Grandma treat you eat peanut, ai mai?' Ah Beng: 'Tenkiu ah ma... yes I want!'

Then Ah Beng also happy happy munching peanuts... about 20 minutes down the road, Grandma Sue asked Ah Beng again... Grandma: 'Ah Beng ah! You want peanuts boh? Grandma treat you eat peanut, ai mai?' Ah Beng: 'Tenkiu ah ma ... yes I want!' . To make the story short, this goes on for a few more times then Ah Beng finally asks Grandma Sue...

Ah Beng: 'Ah ma ah ... you dont eat peanuts one meh?' Grandma: 'No.. no eat! Ah ma boh teeth la!' Ah Beng: 'Aiks! Boh teeth then why ah ma buy peanuts leh?' Grandma: 'No choice leh! Just now that 7-11 is out of chocolate so ah ma kena buy this peanut chocolate lor! Ah ma lick the chocolate around the peanut and the peanut give you eat lor!'

Back in action

After a long, long while, I am back in action. Boy, time traveled so fast. At first I thought I would just put blogging at a side while focusing on my job. Without any warning, 5 good months has passed and I think I need to get back into blogging. Will I be able to keep it running? I don't know. Again, only time will tell.

So, what happened all this while? Hmmmm, as far as work is concerned there is nothing much. That's the sad thing with work: you worked, you get paid, and that's all. Nothing much. You don't really leave any trail (at least for what I have done). But then, I decided to move out from the house that I have been staying for the last few years. I figure that, it can be one of the changes in life that I can do.

Just wanna wish myself, welcome back. :P

Vantage Point is a really good movie

Watched Vantage Point, and it is really good! The pace is tight and the plot makes you thinking and guessing what happened and proves you wrong in the next few minutes. You can just go in there without a popcorn, and chances are you will forget about your drink as well.

I won't spoil you with the story line, that's for you to find out yourself. What basically happen is that there is a terrorist attack, and the movies guides you to view the incident from different people's perspective. So be prepared to "rewind" back to the beginning for a few times (I heard someone complaint "no again!!!" from my back when the story evolves. lol).

So, go check it out.

Spring cleaning for the blog

Just spent some time to clean up my blogs, basically deleted those blogs which are not applicable anymore (yeah, that deal on Dell notebook that ends as of March 2007). I am a junkie so I hope that I won't missed anyone of them. Anyway, it is too late, I have pressed the delete button.

Have to move on, I think.

Upgrade Blogger Template

I have upgraded my blogpsot template. It is very easy, and I did it in less than 5 minutes. I am very happy with it. I added a YouTube side bar showing some funny stuffs so it doesn't seems too boring. Nevertheless, I choose back my favourite greenish theme, but I really like the new one, not too green actually. Erm, I am thinking of cleaning some old and useless posts. So it is still work in progress

Is recession coming? Does it really matters?

A lot of people, blogs, articles, news are discussing about the possible of a recession coming. Many times, people are quoting the 10-years-cycle: we were hit badly at 1997, and as 2008 starts, it is the coming of the next cycle, so called.

Stock market dropping, oil price increasing and forecasts are getting more conservative. However, I think the biggest problem is people are losing hope on the future. And once your are pessimistic, nothing matters anymore. Even someone were to give you a bag full of cash, the only thing that crosses your mind is that someone will kill you just to get the money from you.

When there is no hope, there is no progress. We stop working, we stop learning, we even stop dreaming. We dare not do anything, take any chances (not to mention risks). So the world literally, well, stops.

Of course, I am not saying we can make the world turn the other way round by just being positive. What I am saying is not to worry too much. If you can still keep your job,you have food and a place to stay, why complaint about life? Sure, you might not be able to buy the latest iPod, Wii console, and the latest gadgets; you might need to give up your shining SUV for a compact car. But hey, isn't it time we start to rethink our lives, and value our precious time having dinner with our love ones over some luxuries that lose their values every minute?

Think, and think deeply.

Boy scout saved president is considered for honor

Yesterday I mentioned about the news of a Boy Scout who saved the president of Maldives, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom . Now we know his name, Mohammed Jaisham Ibrahim. While the cabinet is discussing about awarding him a national honor, he is the national hero to the residents of Maldives.

Saving the President

This is a very encouraging news. A Boy Scout prevented an attacker with a knife from harming the president of Maldives. He stopped the attack by grabbing the knife, causing his hand suffered from a wound but the president unharmed. Of course, the attacker was arrested.

I just hope that the boy's hand will be fine, although the article mentioned that he could not move some of his fingers.

Welcome back, and Happy 08!

It's been an isolated month for me. No, I was not living in an island by myself. Instead I was assigned to a project which I have to work in the client's place. Projects like these are different from day-to-day job. You have to learn fast, start working fast and finished the project fast. There is no time for you to take a break. You work during the day and think about what you need to do the next day. So, that's where I was.

Now I am back, and am writing this blog to welcome myself back. Year 2007 is average to me, and I look forward to a better 08. Happy New Year!
